living chess match is quite different than what you will see at other fairs.
Ours is unscripted and when two pieces fight for the square they really
fight for the square. The winning piece gets to stay, adding an element
of chance to the classic game of kings. Chess matches are fought by boffer
fighters using the boffer tournament rules.
Two NCA chess masters will be calling the moves for the match. The pieces
will all be portrayed by boffer fighters. When
a space is contested both fighters will move to the fighting field
where they will fight, really fight, no script, no one knows who will win.
After one fighter is eliminated the other rejoins the game. This means
that the attacking piece can lose, adding a whole new element to the game
of chess. |
