The Laws

Every society has its laws and Egregore is no exception. YOU MUST KNOW THESE LAWS! Breaking these laws will get you thrown out of Egregore and you will never be allowed to join up again.

1) Break No Mundane Law

Bringing the police into Egregore is bad for everyone. They probably don't know what is going on and your actions can cause yourself, your faction and the entire game to come under investigation. Breaking ANY law while playing Egregore is grounds for immediate expulsion without warning.

In severe cases the player's entire faction may be investigated, penalized, the faction may be disbanded or other faction members may be expelled. If you think someone is going to be a problem don't let them into your faction. If you think someone in your faction is going to be a problem inform the judge.

2) Keep the Secret
The Battle of Evermore is a secret war. People outside of the war should never know what is going on. Do not tell people about what is going on in Egregore unless you are trying to recruit them. Using people outside the game to accomplish things in game is forbidden.
3) Don't Be an Asshole
Egregore is a game. It is no fun if people are assholes. Do not interfere with a player's work or school. Do not harass a player. This can range from constantly attacking the same person day after day to causing problems in real life just because he is your enemy in game. No showing up at 3:00 AM and expecting the person to duel you. And so on.

If someone is being an asshole they should be reported to the judge. They will usually be warned for the first infraction, but if the infraction is severe enough they can be removed from the game permanently.

Cheating also falls under this rule. Cheating will get you thrown out of the game.

4) Inform the Judge
At many times in the game you are required to inform the judge of things. A judge must be notified every time there is a combat or when someone gains, loses or trades items or ether. If someone is too lazy to inform the judge of what is going on these actions can be nullified or the player can be otherwise penalized. In the case of repeated problems the player may be removed from the game.

You may NEVER impersonate a judge or forge a communication from a judge. This will immediately get you expelled from the game.
